I tend to agree. I went with a more simplified, archival system, because I don’t really think people search by calendar. First off, since most of us only post every other weekday or so, the calendar mostly shows the day that have NO information. In addition, even though blogs are time-sensitive, I don’t think people really care about the specific date/time of any given post. I doubt anyone visits The Hot Iron thinking “I wondering what Mike was thinking about on January 27th?”.
Are blog calendars useful?

Many blogs feature a calendar of the current month, where days are bolded to indicate one or more blog posts were written that day.
When I setup The Hot Iron, one of the first things I did was to remove the calendar, and I have done so on other blogs. I did not see a value in the calendar, especially compared with lists of categories and most recent posts. I am now seeing more blogs without calendars.
So what do you think? Would a calendar add value to this blog?

Hi Pete - I concur, as some bloggers I have talked with tell me they don’t want people to know that they don’t blog everyday!
Agree - totally worthless.
